Hey guys, please excuse my stupidity as I just picked up an 08 GT which is my first non fox body Mustang.

Currently I have a Magnaflow axleback and nothing else, but want to pick up BBK long tubes. Of course I would have to get a mid-pipe to go with it but that's where my question comes from...

The mid-pipes are much shorter than the mid pipe currently on the car. So the BBK x or h-pipe (haven't decided yet) won't reach all the way to the mufflers. Would I need to get a full cat back exhaust to reach the mid pipe or is there another connection between the mid pipe and the tubes that run to the axleback?

I haven't really had a chance to get a good view of the car on a lift so I appreciate the input. I don't think I did a good job of explaining so hopefully some of you know what I'm talking about. Thanks.
