I'm swapping out for a set of headers today, got the stock logs off, the bolts and studs out.
Am doing the passenger side and have a set of the Stage 8 locking bolts, part 8906 from summit. Trying to screw in by hand and it's pretty hard to turn...
Holding up to the stock studs the 8906 stage 8's look identical...but like I said I can't screw it in very far.
Am I too paranoid, or is something not working right?

Thanks!

I would suggest going to the parts store with the stock stud and Stage 8 bolt in hand and making 100% sure it's the same thread pitch and size.

Also, I know sometimes the gasket can cause issues getting the harware to go in properly... make sure it's not catching on that.

Thats normal, I did a set of headers with Stage 8's, actually 3 vehicles, my own, and 2 GT's. The best thing to do that I did was screw every stage 8 in there first, then take them out and put the headers on and THEN put the stage 8's in. They screw in easily after you do that.
