I have an 03 with the original ticking head. It was properly diagnosed by the Ford dealer where I bought it a while back, but I never had the work done because I didn't trust them. I've had numerous dyno passes, track passes, a couple computer tunes, and run a Lightening pulley and Borla catback. Other than the offending ticking noise, no problems. But lets HYPOTHETICALLY say I wanted to add something like a turbo, HYPOTHETICALLY. (this space reserved for all the needless details and froth) So I'm curious. What's the outcome? The guy who tuned my car told me more than once that the only downside CURRENTLY to the bad head is a minimal loss of power. But what will happen when available power doubles? Thoughts? Opinions? Warnings?

Couple of good discussions about this in the Terminator Talk forum right now. You can also do a search and find a lot of threads. Aside from the minimal efficiency loss throught leaky valve(s), you likely won't see any issues for a lot of miles.
