1). About a .3 drop I believe with 4.10's from what you did before (that's if you know how to hook).

2). Powerband for 96-98 would be 3250+ when the IMRC's are open, from about 4000 on is where she really likes it.

Yeah, dont get anything below 4.30's!!!!!!! I.E. 4.10's and definitely don't even consider 3.73s.

I have 4.30's.

I get around 300- 350 miles per tank with combined city and highway. But mostly highway.

They don't get the motor up in power range quick enough. If you had a KB style blower, then you could get away with 3.73's.

Mine is a DD and I have 4.30's. There is no magical gear ratio that will give you great acceleration and top end.

I say 4.10's minimum.

I have 4:10s...and they are totally driveable around the city....decent gas mileage on the highway also.

As far as getting up into the power band...if I didn't have 315 Nitto drags in back, I would burn the tires off in first and second gear. :)
Although, I wouldn't mind trying some 4:56 gears for a day or two ;)

By the way, at 75 mph I am sitting at about 2800 RPMs.

what do you mean "with 4.10's think i can hit 3rd everytime?" I'm telling you, with 4.10s you wont get your best 1/4 times. You are forced to shift closer at the end of the quarter mile. With 4.30s you shift further away from the quarter compared with 4.10s. With 4.10s, intake (I presume you mean some sort of cold air induction), and exhaust, I believe you would be able to touch mid 13's thats if you can drive the hell out of your car and that you have traction with the new gears.

hell yeah I get gas mileage. I usually average about 15-18 in the city and get 20-24 on the highway. And mine is a daily driver, drive in the snow, rain, fog, sleet, ice, 100 degree days, 10 degree days, and the salty Northwest Indiana roads every winter. Its great

Before i got my gears, there was a guy at the track one day that had exactly the same mods as i did, only he had 3.73's and we were running the same times with the same 60ft. I honestly don't think you shift all that close to the line as everyone swears, i wanna see someone post times to prove without a doubt that 4.30's are so much faster in the quarter. Im not saying they aren't faster, just never seen any numbers to back it up. Also, think about what you plan to do in the future, 4.30's at least if staying N/A, but i picked the 4.10's because i thought they would work better for my future applications.
