has anyone tapped their diff cover

i am doing my fluid change tomorrow and was wondering if anyone tapped their diff cover, i miss having a drain plug, also how many bottles of gear oil do i need, i bought only3

I think some terminator guys have for coolers and such. I don't remember seeing a recent thread and the search is down so I dunno what to tell you know.

and 3 pint bottles are enough.

just make sure you tap it with an NPT tap...

That's me. I have the maximum motorsports diff cooler and had my diff tapped for the kit. Unfortunately the billetflow IRS brace didn't work with the kit so I conference called MM, Doug at Billetflow and the shop doing the work Muscle Motors and had them fab it up. Doug ended up mnaking a re-enforced brace that would allow for the MM diff cooler tappings. I don't remember how much fluid we used, I just provided them a ton of royal purple so there was no question if they had enough.
