hard to hit gears.

Well I finally got an 03 Cobra last Tuesday! I love the hell out of the car except for one thing. Its hard has hell to hit gears. I have drove many imports, LS1 camaros, GTOs, and many other mustangs and none of them feel this hard to hit gears.

The owner before me put a copy of the Triax shifter in the car. I dont know what a stock one feels like but this one sucks when you try to bang gears. Its like you take it out of gear then when you go for the next one it hesitates then finally goes in. Is this normal? I have never had this problem with any other car I have drove.

I also have a Spec stage 2+ in the car, if that makes a difference.

I have a friend that just got a transmission out of an 03 for his SN95 and offered me to try the stock one and see how that feels. Are the stock ones any smoother? This shifter is just really notchy.

the ford t56 is notchy, but a change to the mgw shifter might make a difference. do you have a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster? lots of the drag guys complain they cant powershift until they change out the factory self-adjuster.
