I only noticed this somewhat recently (the start of this winter). When the car is cold, it grinds a tiny bit going in to 2nd gear unless I'm really slow with it. As soon as the car has been moving for a minute or so and get's some heat in it, 2nd works fine. I have Amsoil ATF in there right now. Is the fluid causing the issue, or is it more likely a mechnical issue due to wear. No other gears have this problem that I know of

If you search for "notchy" transmission you will find a lot of threads on the subject. My t56 is the same way until the fluid warms up, then it's fine.
