I belive mine are shot, I was able to turn the driveshaft about 30-40 degrees back and forth. I pulled out the diff and the backlash is at .010. I am able to grab the axle shaft in one hand and turn the splines about 20 degrees and it seems like alot of play. The car sounded like a tire was rubbing when taking slow turns with the clutch engaged, it I pushed the clutch in around a turn there is no noise. I have eaton posi and 4.10 gears with stock spline count. I took them out today, If I grab the center Bar in one hand and grab the inner shaft and turn them back and forth I get about 1/4 inch in turning play. Are they supposed to be tighter?

The halfshafts shouldn't have any "play" in them. One of mine after several dr track launches..... developed a nice vibration at highway speeds on that side.
It was no trouble at all to fix, the solid axle bolts right in. :-D
