I was on my way to meet up with some friends tonight when I passed a red c6. I didn't think anything of it, just some old dude in a nice ass car..anyway I was just driving normally and I notice he stays right besides me..after a mile we were both lined up at about 55-60mph. Right as I was going to honk he jumps and takes off. I caught him instantly and I had passed him, I knew I had put at least one car on him but I didn't look back after that. We shut down at about 120-130. I tried to line up again but the rest of the time we were on the road together he would try and take off on me, I'd start to reel him in slowly but then he would let off  I rolled my window down to tell him nice car but he just kept driving. Not sure if it was a manual or not since I couldn't talk to the guy..dont know too much about the c6 vettes either..does this sound about right to you guys?

Most old guys in vettes don't know how to race or don't want to. When they mess around in their cars, they just hit the gas for a short period and then let of. They don't know street racing "rules". All they know is they had the $'s to finally buy a vette, so it must be fast. :D

You need to find the few like myself(not so old,no gold chains,no hairy chest and no Viagra) and will be glad to run.

Nice kill!!!

It more than sounds right. Even though your car weighs about 500lbs heavier than the C6.....Your putting down 100rwhp more...Too much for a LS2 C6 to overcome.......

It's nice to hear a kill on a Corvette by a Cobra owner that is'nt cocky and does'nt bash......

I had a great run with a 06 C6 two days ago on the way home from work. He was behind me in traffic and I saw him weaving in and out of traffic. He pulls up to me doing 70 and drops down and takes off. I reel him in and we both shut down around 110-120. Traffic clears a bit and I take off and he is on my ass the whole time. We did this for almost 10 miles back and forth. He rolled down the window and yells, "I didn't think Cobra's were that quick!" I asked what he had done to the car. Long tubes headers, exhaust, and tune. He was a cool guy, I'm sure I would have lost from a dig.
