H/C/I C6Z vs Carrera GT Supercar

I'm racing my buddy for fun in my dads H/C/I C6Z this Sunday. mild cam, heads, fast 102/102, vararam, longtubes, x, stock catback. The car made about 560whp on a dynojet, the clutch is slipping slightly (stock) and the LS9X clutch won't be here until next week but we're racing regardless.

He wants to go from a 40ish roll. I have already beat his ZR1, LP640, and 599 GTB. (He bench marks his cars off the c6z and we bench mark ours off his zr1).

C6Z has gone 11.0 @ 133.9 on 20 inch wheels with nitto invos (spinning)
Stock CGT numbers are 11.1 @ 133

C6Z is about 31XXlbs to the CGTs 3000 even.
64Xhp vs 604hp/435tq
7k redline vs 8400 (what I'm really concerned about)


I think I have it in the bag, but with the clutch slipping, lighter car, and higher redline I'm slightly worried. I will probably give him the 100mph courtesy buffer if he wants a roll. 40-140 then shut down (if I'm ahead).

The ZR1 runs really well for being stock, I barely pull it from a roll.

Slow 1/4 mile time for his C6Z. Has he not run it at the track much?

Stock clutch has been slipping for a while and have never ran it on a radial. Looking for c5z 18x10.5s for radials in the near future.

look at his mile an hour 133 is moving. havent guys cracked 9s with that mph in the c6z06.

The issue is traction and gearing. These wheels put the car at just going through the traps at the beginning of 4th.

Sounds pretty interesting, it might come down to how bad is your clutch slipping and will it hold during the race...Good luck and most of all be safe bro.
