H/C 427 convertible vs. vortech C5Z

Ran a buddies c5z the other night. Stock block with vortech blower. I think he says it makes around 630rwhp. I really was surprised I was able to hang with him since he has a lot more power and probably 200 lbs less weight as well.

I bet he was shifting light to conserve his drivetrain or he was having an issue? OP great looking 427 I hope to be into another C6 after I finish BA degree.

he just got the car about two weeks ago so I am sure that has something to do with.

I think I was just able to keep up with him because I was able to stretch out longer in my gears plus he is losing boost between his shifts as well

Probably making close to the same power if he has that tiny s trim on it. The LS7 can go higher rpm wise so that helped also. Good runs man.

Take a look at the video in my sig. I was launching at 5000 RPM with 620 to the wheels by means of H/C/I/E and a 150 shot of nitrous. He doesnt have to "shift light" to preserve the drivetrain. The T56 is a beast! Tell your friend to learn to shift. LOL
