Guys possible syncro problem (mgw)

Guys i might have a possible syncro problem but, i really dont want to rebuilt until i have enough money to rebuilt with better internals. So might question is, can i still add a mgw shifter, i dont think the syncros are that bad, it only grind every so onften when not fully stopped in first and, at wot passes from 1st to 2nd (but not all the time)?

i just put in an MGW with one of cobrabob's gaskets...works great

I never tried one so I can't personally comment on them but from CobraBobs thread everyone seems to like them.

Is there any way i can get the mgw shifter with the pro 5.0 handle just alittle longer i really like the way the shifter pionts towards the end of the car its just to short (length wise).

I don't think it will mount to the MGW. MGW does make a handle for the Pro 5.0 that is adjustable and I have it on mine. Pro 5.0 shifter & handle

and Pro 5.0 base w/MGW handle

I'm still doing a bit of adjusting with it but it is a lot better then the short Pro 5.0 handle.
