So I'm starting to remove items from the engine bay to get it ready for paint and wanted to know just how much stuff I can remove from the engine bay. Do I need to be concerned with removing the brake lines??

Are you having it painted or diy?
I'm take it to a shop to have it professionally done.
I would ask the shop what the recommend you remove and what they can work around.
