I have bought quite a few handguns this year: Wilson Combat Brig Tac, Sig Legion SAO P226, Sig P320 RX, Sig P238, Kimber Micro .380, FEG Hi Power clone.

Which do you prefer between the p238 and Kimber micro? I'm looking to pick one up for pocket carry since my wife stole my g42.

We love the 238 I got for my wife. Shoots great. I was originally interested in the micro but thought it was strange how so many people were selling theirs soon after they came out.

I bought this KAK AR pistol brace and slapped it on my SBR. I am thinking about building a couple AR pistols and going with Blade braces for them.

They are much more light weight than the SB Tactical arm brace and I think I like the looks a bit better. Plus, instead of using a Velcro strap, you can either let the blade naturally rest on your arm to manage recoil or you can use your weak hand to press the blade against your arm.

Sorry for the poor lighting in the pics... night time and in my rec room... but what do you guys think? I'm fairly happy with it, but I really need to shorten the overall length.

Man the G42 is sweet! Just a little big for a pocket gun. I prefer the P238 to the Kimber Micro .380. Both are great guns though. The Kimber looks so good, more like a traditional 1911. I love the Raptor treatment too (the raptor stippling on the grip and slide), it works great. I've put hundreds of rounds through both with no issues other than the slides on both ocassionally not holding open after the last round. Both have excellent night sights, unlike the Colt Mustang. However, I just like the P238 better. I have the HD version which weighs in at 20 oz compared to the 15 oz of the Kimber and 16 oz of the normal model P238. The recoil is very minimal for such a small firearm, and it is not bad at all on the Kimber. But the extra 5 oz makes a noticeable difference. My wife loves the P238 HD, she's not too crazy about the Kimber.

I'm picking up a LCP 2 for pocket carry ASAP.

I havent handled a kimber micro but it looks very heavy for it's size.

LOL we are opposite in our opinions for sure! I much prefer a bit of weight, especially for small guns. I am not crazy about any of the polymer pocket guns, except for the G42 (weighs 14 oz). Most are unpleasant to shoot. I find the G42, Kimber Micro .380, and the P238 very fun to shoot, and when they are fun to shoot, I tend to practice more. The slightly greater weight/reduced recoil allows you to do some very fast mag dumps, and relatively stay on target. In my opinion, these three pocket guns shine in this respect. Place a torso sized target at about 7 yards and practice drawing and dumping the mag. Most probably, this is how you would use the thing in a real life altercation, God forbid.

That's very good points and i agree. I do not like shooting my glock 27 nor his LCP. I got to hold a kimber pro carry yesterday. Loved it. I cant wait to shoot it. I also held my buddy's 5-7. That's another on my bucket list.
