Somehow I picked up a piece of gum off the ground and transplanted it to a floormat.. What is the best way/product to remove that without destroying or cutting the mat. The car has black floormats if that makes a difference.

goo gone and let it soak for a little bit then rub it with your fingers till it's gone.
I've used an ice cube and spoon. Take some time but works.
