guage wiring

which wire do i splice into on the dimmer switch for my boost guage? i want it to dim with the dash lights not just come on with them. thanks.

take it apart, put a volt meter on VDC. Find a wire that measures 12 volts with the lights on and when you turn the dimmer the voltage goes down. Simple as that

Dont splice into wires, just buy a "add a circuit" and plug it into your fuse box you just need to find what fuse controls the dash lights. This is what I did on my Cobra and it works perfect.:beer:

you can still dim everything with the add a circut.
