GT500 vs GT500

So everyone knows bolt-ons help, however most dont realize how much they can help.

For example, white GT500 in vid thought because it was a 2012 with an intake it was as fast as a 2008 with intake/xpipe/pulley with email tune (camera car)

As you see thats not the case. Lol

I'm not really sure if I should be impressed, or what? A stock 2012 gets virtually nothing out of an intake (I actually LOST power with the old JLT intake on my 2011) since it already has a decent one from Ford, unless there is also a tune.

you do realize the 07-09 car pic up much more from a CAI/Tune as they were underpowered vs the 2010+ cars by 40-50 hp....

Hard to tell much about short encounters like that unless you know both cars were in the same gear and both had adequate driver mods. It almost looked like the other car was in a higher gear at the start, but again, who knows.

HAHA my car is the camera car in that video, that guy in the 2012 showed up at one of our Tuesday night AZFT meets and wanted to start running people, and told me his car had a bunch of mods but not being specific, I looked under his hood and im pretty sure it was mostly stock maby a pully and tune. but as you see from the race he didnt put up much of a fight. still a fun run for me.

Yeah, looked like one was in 2nd and the other in 3rd. He instantly walked away. More HP walks away but not like that. Would have been a slow constant pull not just 2-3 cars when they hit it.

Yep sounds like a failed "driver mod" to me. Good kill nonetheless, especially if he was bragging and looking for kills.

I raced my friends 5.0 at a 45 roll, I was in second he was in third and it looks very similar. His car was stock at that time I just had exhaust lol

Well one of the great parts for the 07 to 09 GT500s is having 3.31 gears. From a 60 roll im in 2nd so the car takes off like a rocket. But for some reason my car runs very strong. but you wont here me complain lol.

How soon do you have to shift? Seem like he would have made up the ground when you shifted...no?

I shift a 6,500rpm witch is right about 85mph, casue 60 in 2nd im about 4,800rpm

The 11-12 has 3.55 which are so close that both cars should still be in the same gear at that speed. So again you have a failed driver. Unless he is running the PP then it's 3.73 which will have him in 3rd. When you shift he should pull right back next to you and somewhat by you in 3rd through 4th. The 11-12s are a tad bit lighter like to pull 6.5K shifts better. Think the cams are the same though. Haven't researched them

Yes it's a PP car. And that was my thoughts exactly.
