3.73 Will be perfect IMO. But if you are going to leave the boost level stock then 3.90's would be a good gear, but still may be a bit on the steep side.

+1, I still think 4.10's are gonna be too steep for the powerband in that engine.

Let's do the math...

28" Tire, 6250rpm, 4th gear:

3.73: 139.6mph

3.90: 133.5mph

4.10: 127mph

4.30: 121.1mph

Whatever, we'll see when the time comes. I just have a hard time believing that traction won't be even more of an issue with 4.10's in that car, but I guess we'll see. Then again, it's 0-60 times have thus far been unimpressive so maybe it lacks the balls I'm thinking it has down low, so perhaps 4.10's will be good.

I think fourcam is talking about running the car at the track with slicks (28") and gears :D

Well then yeah, but come on, how many people are going to track this car? I'm talking in street/mild drag racing conditions, 4.10s are going to be too steep.

I didn't read through this but Automobile only got these numbers with a 03 cobra. The only numbers I like are the skidpad. I don't know where they test these cars at but 6mph in the quarter is a big difference for the GT500!

Yes just saw the topic where it says Aug issue 12.2 it says that in the Aug issue evan smith got a 12.6 with traction on and a 12.2 at 117 with the traction off and the drivers said with gears the car can get in the 11s on street tires holy shit looks like the c6 will kiss its ass good bye. I knew the people on C&D and road and track dont know how to drive.
