The truck 5.4L iron block (bare) and the GT500 iron block are damn near identical.

True, I know, it was my job to inspect the Condor (GT500 5.4) blocks at Windsor Engine Plant.
IIRC, all ford mod motors have the same bolt pattern except for the 1st year 4.6l(had a windsor bolt pattern i believe).
Even those are the same.
The 92 town car had the SBF pattern.

Forget the screen name but there is a build thread on F150.com on a Guy doing it. Tore up 3 transmissions hitting 700 at the rear wheels

Site use to be informative until a few of us started getting criticized by idiots up there. Old guys stating how stupid we were for racing our trucks and voiding warranties.
