I am debating on whether to build a coyote or 5.2 for my 69 fastback resto mod. I am wanting to know if anyone has heard of someone using a T56 transmission with the 5.2. I have a brand new flywheel and rxt clutch setup for a mod motor with T56. I know the stock GT350 has the dual mass flywheel but is it really necessary? Any info or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen one, i think...Mitchell Pope in the 350 group on facebook. Big procharger and built motor, but swapped back to cross plane crank.

Just came across this thread while looking for a gt350r for sale for a friend. I'm currently swapping a 5.2 voodoo mated to a t56 magnum into my 02 saleen. Called mcleod last week for the info and here are the part numbers.

Also contact Fathouse Fab as they have Magnum XL swapped several 350 5.2s.

@modular89 have you progressed your 69 Resto? New member here but I've got a 69 FB and currently am going through rust repair now and finalizing engine choice. The VooDoo 5.2 has come up as a pretty strong option and wanted to see if you've moved forward with that drivetrain or have switched to something else. Thanks!

Ended up selling the voodoo setup. A buddy of mine wanted it for his racecar. Put the 69 on the back burner for a little while to get my 93 mustang GT500 swap done. Hoping to get back on the 69 soon. Trying to decide what setup to go with now since my new front frame rails are setup for mod motors

Thanks for the reply. That Fox looks like its going to be a monster! What has been changed on the front frame rails so far? Do you already have a front suspension/mount set-up installed?

I'm speaking with Cortex and Maier Inc right now about possible set-ups for a Modular powerplant. Heart isn't fully set on the VooDoo as I still haven't run down anyone that has swapped one and driven around for a bit to answer my questions on the vibration concerns of that specific flat plane crank configuration.

Haven't installed the front frame rails yet but will be building a perimeter frame setup. The rear frame will be an S&W race car protouring backhalf and the front is a mustangs to fear frame kit. The quality on the front is great and they setup the motor mounts for you. I was worried about the vibration issues as well since I wouldn't have all the factory dampers like the factory GT350 has

Nice! I spoke with MTF as well and their products are impressive. The rear frame set up is different from what I have seen in other builds, but looks like a really good set-up. Yea, that's my only issue right now but if I can find a set-up for the right price I'll probably still jump on it and give it a shot.

Yeah would be awesome to have it but now I'm back to square one. I still have a new T56 and bellhousing for a mod motor so I may go with a terminator setup or a 5.4. Found a company that sells a intake to put a 871 blower on a 5.4 so I am considering that as well

That's funny because my original plan was a 5.4 or 5.8 and I ventured away due to autoX/ Track-day use and the smaller engine on the nose should provide similar useable power with a better weight distribution. I don't know a lot about that blower but a quick google search showed me that that would be terrifying haha.
