Hey Fourcam, as long as we got you here, can you tell me if the GT500 and Ford GT share the same head? thanks.

yes they do, but the use different cams and springs which ford racing sells and adds more lift

Just like differences in dynos and dyno procedures can factor into testing, cylinder head flow tests can be affected by a multitude of things. Your numbers could indeed be accurate from the bench they came from, but 310/255 is more on par with what the aftermarket sees on avg.

Yes, GT/GT500 castings are identical.

A continuation of the above, Fourcam, could you provide your flow number throughout the lift range? These are very interesting numbers when compared to the Sean Hyland book I have on hand, which only rate the Navigator and 2000 Cobra R heads.

For the sake of discussion the number SH lists are:

5.4L 4-Valve Tumble Port (Navigator)

Tested on a Super Flow SF600 flow bench at 25.00" water with 3.570" bore size.

So as anyone can see, the Cobra R heads really out do the Navi heads in the upper lift values, I am now very interested to see how the Ford GT/GT500 heads have improved over these.

Industry standard is 28", I have no idea why Hyland did that with his heads...

Darren,
I'll have to dig for them. I had Fox Lake flow a spare stock set for me years ago. I'm not even sure where to look at this point...

As for a difference in flow between Rs and GT/GT500s, there isn't much. The port is raised .02" but everything else is pretty much the same. Both need work in the bowls, short turns, and better valve jobs. After porting they're identical.
