Hey guys, Im helpin out my friend with his 5.0. He is having electrical problems. The car seems like it has a weak battery but it checks out ok. The car wont start. All connections were good on the battery itself, but I followed the ground wire and it seems that it is grounded to the front of the block. It was lose so i wiggled it and the car started fine. I just wanted to know if I could reroute that ground from the front of the block to the frame, or do I have to leave it on the front of the block ?

The battery ground wire from the factory is bolted into the timing cover on the drivers side.

You can bolt the ground to the chassis/frame rail if you feel the need to move it.... but make sure the engine ground strap that goes from the back of the driver's head to the firewall is attached & in good shape.
