I need a new grille combo but I cant decide what to get. I would really like to keep the logo and get the "fast" "svt lightning" overlays but it seems like most of them are layovers and Im not sure how thats going to look with the factory grey honeycomb 99 grille behind it? Is there anyway to mount the emblem on a grille? Paint the stockers a flat black? And yes the HD grille is out of my price range lol.......... :rolling:

I was looking into this........

jus get some 01-04 grills and paint them a glossy blk and put the over lays on that, the grill your lookin at is the one that goes over the stock grill, which i personly dont like, you can still see the honey comb grill under that grill!!

Mine is the street scenes and I have the emblem installed with it. It just bolts right to the grille.

Take your stock center emblem and put it in a pot of boiling water and wait for the blue plastic to come loose take it off. then you have a chrome emblem

How do you take the emblem off? It might just pop off but i've never tried and dont want to mess something up. I think that mod would look sick on my truck

So I can get a grille without a badge and unbolt the badge off my stock grille and bolt it back up to the new grille?

Maybe on some.

As far as the boiler mod, boil it in some water and the blue part is like a gel. Use something that can get it out, like a screw driver, BUT BE CAREFUL. I put a huge scratch in mine getting the blue off with a big screw driver. I would probably find something long and skinny, but not as sharp.
