**UPDATED WITH SUN DOGS TIME LAPSE**

I have been playing around with my GoPro time lapse setting the past few days. I am staying on my relatives Ranch in North Dakota and they have great sunrises and sunsets. I am still trying to get some better time Lapses. let me know what you guys think or if you have any suggestions! Thanks!

Here are a couple of the better ones I have done.

that is pretty cool. It is neat seeing the cloud formations move.

Thanks! Yea the clouds are my favorite part also.

How?! HOW DO YOU DO THIS?!
Use the time lapse mode on the go pro. The change the megapixel for the picture depending on which go pro you have. I set mine at either 7 or 10 mega pixel. I also set it to take a picture every 5 seconds. Set the camera where ever you like and let it start taking pictures. Leave it running for at least 1-2 hours.

Very cool and there is a lot of potential there because the scenery is so beautiful. Only thing I would recommend is making an egg timer mount.

I'll have to pull the hard drive out of my old computer and post some of the awesome pictures I have of sunrises and auroras in ND. In the winter sun dogs and light towers make for some awesome scenery. Especially the towers from gas flares on very cold nights. The oil field can be surprisingly beautiful in the right conditions

That is a really awesome idea! I need to get one of those so I can get a time lapse of the whole ranch. There are plenty of places high enough that I could capture the whole thing.

I have heard about the sun dogs and auroras but I haven't seen any yet but then again I have only been here for a month so far. I am looking forward to seeing all that stuff! lol
