Had a good day at the track yesterday and a great way to close out the season. I won the Heavy ET class in our '69 Mach 1. My girlfriend Jessica lost in the quarter-finals of the Trophy class in her '04 Mach 1. And friend Gordon lost in the semi-finals of the Gear Jammer class in his '03 Mach 1. We all set new personal bests with the cars.
'69 Mach 1 set new bests of 1.599 60 ft, 12.10 @ 108 MPH
'04 Mach 1 (auto) set new bests of 1.87x 60 ft, 12.54 @ 110 MPH
There's a story with her car. It went 12.92 with stock 3.55s, BBK O/R X-pipe, & SLP LMIIs. Then after installing 4.10s, JLT RAI, and a SCT Xcal 3 tune, the car went 12.92 a few more passes? The tune was junk. So, I got in touch with Jon Lund early this past week (talk about last minute) and had him email me some tunes. The car picked up a half second with JUST the tune from the prior week at US 13. Jess is excited, so she'll probably post a more detailed story with all the numbers in the Mach 1 section.
'03 Mach 1 (5-speed) finally got into the 11s with a 11.87 pass!!
