Good news for once

Well, the guy was able to fix my windshield this morning. I was surprised as big as the crack was. You can still see it but only if you get up close. Cost me $50, but that's way cheaper than a new windshield and he guaranteed it not to spread.

Now let's just hope the inspection nazi's don't see it.....

I asked him about it.... he used an acrylic resin that is cured by ultraviolet light. So basically it hardens by sunlight. He had some kind of tool that draws the air out of the cracks, then fills it with the resin.

I just called him.... here's a link to the kit he used if anybody is interested in checking it out. You know, this could be a nice little side job if you know what you are doing.
