Hi guys I'm getting a custom catted x-pipe from Evolution and I'm trying to decide on what catback to get.

1. Borla (heared it, and I like it)
2. SLP (heared it ona friends GT and loved it, but not sure how it sounds on a 4v)
3. MRT Max Thunder (heared clips but it sounds nice)

Does anyone have any personal opinion on them, or have a clip of there catbacks on their car?

Thanks guys!

I disgree with the SLP LM 'loser'.

FIrst off, remember there are different models of Borla and LMs. There are LM1s and LM2s. SEcondly, make sure you get the right Borla's if you do. There are regular catbacks, but the one that sounds the best is the 'STinger' setup.

I have had both, and I like both. It truly comes down to personal preference.

My personal opinion is that SLP makes the worst sounding mainstream cat-backs available for late-model Mustangs. About the only thing in my book that sounds worse are Cherry Bombs.

Chery bombs or Smithies sound great on vintage setups! What do you think made all that great sound in the 70's?

LOL, I don't think vintage cars with glasspacks sound all that great either. Apparently neither do most hot rodders, since at Cruisin' the Coast (a huge annual event that draws people from all over the country) almost all of these immaculate, perfectly restored (or original!) muscle cars are sporting Flowmasters or something similar.

SLP with an O/R X is way to loud and raspy. I sold the LM1's and now have bassani....best sounding in my book. Not the loudest but loud enough.
