I have been running MM front coil-overs for a few years now with stock rear IRS. I have kept putting it off. What do you guys like for a coil-over for a street car that would go with the MM up front?
Unfortunately it looks like the CHE brace is long gone. My plan was to either modify someone's brace to mimic it or flat out build my own.I would look at bead welding the rear shock towers and getting a shock tower brace..if you don't have one now.
Check out the CHE shock tower brace..if still around...not sure anymore..
The Kenny Brown looks good too.

I have always found it odd that MM doesn't make one or mention the need. None of their instructions say a word about welding the towers either.
All I am saying is that if it were that big of a deal you'd think MM would address it.
I hear you on that as others have said there is no need for subframes, and that only subframe connectors are needed.Unfortunately it looks like the CHE brace is long gone. My plan was to either modify someone's brace to mimic it or flat out build my own.

The KB shock brace looks solid.Unfortunately it looks like the CHE brace is long gone. My plan was to either modify someone's brace to mimic it or flat out build my own.

Funny you post 2 threads I've been been through before. The KB shock brace looks solid.
But gets dinged here..
And Talks about welding the shock towers
Functional Shock Tower Reinforcement?
I've almost got my 01 all back together suspension wise (Full MM front end, STB, MM CO's front and rear FTBR full rear and MM spherical rear shock mounts. The car won't be a DD anymore, just a weekend warrior for canyons, so I'm concerned about the structural integrity of the rear shock towers...www.svtperformance.com
See post #14!!!!!!
Rear strut brace, worth it?
Getting a front strut brace and found the rear for pretty cheap from BOI and wondering if its worth getting? I have a convertible, so maybe it would help more than on a coupe, but just wondering if these things help at all, or I should just put that money towards a 6-pt cage, which I need too...www.svtperformance.com
The second one is the only evidence I've ever seen of a tower failing.
Just because they didn't not often completely fail, doesn't mean they are not under who huge amounts of stress. Lots of flexing.
I plan on CO at some point, but not without a shock tower brace first
