On the 10th of this month a buddy and I are going to Miami for a ten day vacation. First long drive for the both of us. Planning to take 75 most of the way down, going to try and make it to Orlando in one day. Anything you guys suggest seeing on the way down or back? Car is gonna be my 2012 GT with 44k miles runs great. Bought a used escort radar, changed my tires to stock in case I get a flat I can find another tire fairly easier. I'll use this as my photo journey as well  only stops he would like to see is Titan Motorsport in Orlando, he is a C6 guy but is still stuck on supras. Maybe an exotic rental while we are there?

We went to homested , south of miami to go to exotic rentals. We rented a audi r8, a Ferrari , and lambo. They had a ride along in a vette, but I'm a driver not a rider so I didn't do that.
Check out summit racing on the way. They have an impressive store and its a good chance to stretch.
You'll like miami for the most part. South beach qas awesome, however I did get a ticket on my way home. 108 in a 65.....

Try and stick to the speed limit as close as you can from Atlanta south to the Florida state line. There's always a good amount of state troopers and local county sheriffs along I75 in that stretch. I drive between Miami and Atlanta once or twice a month.

If you want to take pics of your car, there's quite a few good spots in the mountains close to Chattanooga, TN.

Regarding Miami, there's a ton of stuff to do down here. I know many people outside of south Florida dislike them, but if you're a basketball fan at all, I'd recommend going to a Heat game. It's not everyday that you can see 3 (may be even 4) future hall of famers play in one game.

The beaches are great as well. Rent a boat or some jet skis and enjoy the water for a bit. Exotic car rental places are all over the place.

Cruising South Beach is going to be rough with a clutch, hope you have an auto. And parking is a nightmare. I've only been down to South Beach once, but it was on a Sunday and we never were able to get out of the car due to the parking situation. There is a cool open-air mall down on the water, I think near downtown Miami, we had a good time down there. If time allows, you guys should drive all the way down to Key West. I've been to Miami twice but have yet to drive all the way down there and regret it. Other thing I never did but wanted to do was go out on a fishing charter, not sure if you would be into that or not.

DEFINITELY plan on getting off I-95 in Daytona and cruising the beach and taking some pics. There is something so cool about being able to drive down onto the sand and drive along right behind all the hotels - of course most of the hotels are sort of old, but it's still cool.

The weekend of the 11and 12 national parts depot will be hosting one of the biggest Mustang and Ford car shows in the southeast. Since you'll be driving down on I-75, Silver Springs park is only about 10 miles east of I-75 in the Ocala area. Last year they had about 1027 cars on display plus they have the famous glass bottom boats navigating down the river where 5 different springs are born. Hope to see you there. I will also be there on Friday morning (10th) for the cruise in from NPD headquarters to Cedar Key. Just to let you know, there is an excessive amount of LEOs on Alligator Alley between Naples and Ft. Lauderdale because they have 4 different police depts.( FL troopers, Collier county sheriff, Miccosukee police and Broward county sheriff) covering that section of road. Have a safe and nice trip. https://d2zl5tj7gmc4tr.cloudfront.net/store/images/FORD-Show2014-Flyer-8.5x11.pdf

Stop by steeda in pompano beach...when in Miami stop by biscayne bay- otherwise known as bayside. Good reggae bands, The Hard Rock Cafe is there. And take a 1 day cruise to. The ships are right there!

I used to run Orlando to Beavercreek a few times a year. Left Orlando at 2am and in Beavercreek by noon or so depending on fuel stops.

Good times.
