I have a strange feeling that car is from Kentucky or you've built one hell of a clone.

Was the engine gone when you acquired the car or had a "Chickenhawk Racing" sticker on the back windshield?

Cool car man, runs good for what it is. In all honesty I don't see it going 10's without more power or some other serious weight reduction which looks like you've done most of it within reason. Your going to need 120+ traps to crack in the 10's. Good luck though and keep us posted! Have the heads or intake been worked at all?

Thanks man, that's what most would think. Stay tuned ;)

Nice car!

Put some slicks & more gear in it... 4.30's are nice w/26" slick for the track & 275/60's for the street. Front springs seam a little stiff. 150's or 175's might be better. My old fox body was set up similar to yours. Stock cam, milled cobra heads, cobra intake, but still had power steering & stock front K member & A arms... Launched at 5800, shifted at 5800 & ran thru the traps about 6300 to 11.40's at 117. Fun cheap car!

I seen all those videos you posted a while back before I got my hands on the car . I feel lucky to carry on the legacy of this car

It was one of the first "faster cars" I got on film when I first started videoing, so it has sentimental value to me.

Treat her well!

The car is slicked down always, 26x10/15 MT, I have few different rears to try out. Still dialing the car in, I actually have a bran new suspension setup for the car, Me and buddy made a joke about making some ten second passes the way the car sits.

I made one pass and decided to go home after, new best for the car.

Awesome!
Sounds like you might be tapped out though... Your 8th mile is rock'n but might be running out of steam at the big end... Try a 28x9" slick once. Less rolling drag.

Why would you change from on aftermarket K-member to another? Other than to blow money.
