I'm not sure "superficial" is the right word (on the surface?) you're thinking of, especially since a lot of problems are quite far below the surface. Irregardless, anything that comes in between a closer relationship with God isn't superficial or trivial. :beer:
He just wants what's best for is.... is that so bad? No different than a good parent directing his/her child in right ways. ;-)
