Getting s550 GT brakes....

So I need to make sure I have everything for the conversion

Take off 20k mile s550 GT calipers
Gt500 dust Shields Ford performance
Ford performance Boss 302 brake lines
Powerstop z23 brake pads
14" 2014 GT500 rotors
1/4 wheel spacers ( I have the 19x8.5 premium GT black wheels )


Anything else I'm missing?

shouldnt NEED the dust shelds, or the brake lines.

Are the boss lines stainless steel, if not just keep stockers. If your dead set on swapping them I bet you can get a nice aftermarket set for same price as OEM Boss. The lines alone will make a pretty big difference.

Since you are using wheel spacers I'd consider getting extended studs. I think you will be fine but better safe than sorry.

Yea verified boss lines will not fit. The bends in the ends prevent you bolting up the banjo bolt. I'm going to have a local company cut the ends off and put new ends on. They custom make brake lines so they know what they are doing.

Yes you do need brake lines. Stock lines will not fit. Verified.

Are you upgrading to the 4 or 6 pistons? I just went from the 4 to 6 and finding the right SBBL's was a pain. Did get the dust shields from Ford for like 3 bucks...friend works there. I did replace all the hardware as well for the Brembos. Good Luck, well worth it.

When I did mine I went with a full set of lines from Goodridge. Fonts fit the S550 6 pistons, and rear fit our S197's. Part # 12366
