I just thought about it. Shortly, I'll have my new Cobra. Then I remembered that these will probably be the last Cobras built at Dearborn.

How do you all feel about this? I believe they are moving production to Flat Rock. I mean, I have always associated Mustangs with Dearborn and even if they make a 2004 model it will not be made where all the other ponies came from.

So, I'm getting a little emotional. It's the end of an era. I know some will say good riddence and that the new site will be awesome but it won't ever be the same.

God, I'm 28 and living in the past... sheesh.

Yes and no. I agree that there is some nostalgia associated with Dearborn, but the fit and finish (ie: quality) from that plant has been an issue for quite some time now. My understanding was that they were going to address that with the move. The 03 is a big improvement in fit and finish from my 99, but if they are going to really improve it much more in the new plant than I say it's a good move. If they don't then it's not. (JMO)
