I could be wrong but I don’t think any dealership is unionized lol. Most Toyota/Lexus shops are Non-Union. I would NEVER want a union in my dealership. Ever. I already get my money stolen from the government, I sure as SHIT dont need any stolen from a Union on my behalf.
Mandatory "breaks" and cant stay late to finish jobs? Nope, GTFO.

I worked at a factory during the '91 Gulf War when the local Teamsters union decided to go on strike. I was an Production Engineer that crossed the picket line to run a screw machine that kept our Troops supplied with 25mm APDS rounds.
My wife is an RN and has been a member of the Nurses union +35 years.
I can tell ya good/bad stories about both.
IMHO, it really depends on the union, the job, the economy, and the businesses management.
Right off the bat, w/o hearing anything else, I'd support a nurses union over an auto union any day of the week. I'd take a guess and say most nurses are receiving less than a person on an assembly line.

Freedom? All self employed people I know work damn near 24/7 for their business. 2 of those people each ran extremely success diesel shops and they both shut down because they got burnt out.You union mothertruckers need to get a dose of self-employment and your own insurance.
It’s what the rest of us call FREEDOM.
I did just edit out the beer from my comment last night. A little edgy, even for me.Freedom? All self employed people I know work damn near 24/7 for their business. 2 of those people each ran extremely success diesel shops and they both shut down because they got burnt out.
Gilleland Chev in St Cloud, MN is union. They are around, less than before.
I can’t see how that works unless it’s a huge chain of dealers.Multiple dealers in the Bay Area are union, both technicians and parts personnel.

I guess depends on the state. In ca nurse makes 100-200k a year.
