What did it cost you to change your gears ?
What ratio did you go to, and would you recommend that ratio ?

I'm thinking about going to 3.73's very soon. I have been quoted $550 to change them, does this sound right ?

For road racing (track) 3.73's with a blower are great. If you going to stay NA go for more gear 4.10's or 4.30's. Is the $550 for the gears and installation?? Even if it is that seems a bit high.

I was quoted $600 for the same job. So it doesn't seem too outrageous, but I am not saying you couldn't get somebody else to do it for less.

$560 for me (getting 4.10s in as I type). I've had other posters say that it seems high, but judging from you guys it's about in line. Very reputable 'stang specialists, so I feel like I'm paying for quality and they back their work.

If I'm not mistaken, the cost is up so high because IRS has to come down for the install. Can anybody validate?

If that includes the gears, then that price is in line with what I have been quoted, $365 with me providing the gears.

2stangBK, I agree with you, when I started checking on prices for installing gears, as soon as I mentioned the IRS, I always got "Ohhh" and I knew the price just went up :nonono:
