Finally located one of the manufacturers, VIS Racing. Trying to deal with those guys made me lose my temper to the point, I told them where they could put their hood...some place where the Sun don't shine! Those guys are nuts! The guy I spoke to really had a slipping clutch, and I don't mean his car!
Anyway, I decided that money would be better spent on a mod that not only lightens the car, but is entirely functional as in improved handling as well as decreasing over all weight.
The hood may give me a 20 lbs savings, but other than it's purely cosmetic.
Every once in a while I go off the "deep end" with my "ADDICTION" and order somethnig without thoroughly thinking it through. Thank God my wife remains the sane one in the family.
I would have bought the hood until these jerks so angered me that I couldn't continue a rational conversation.
