Gauge Below Radio

Has anyone modified the Metra (or equal) radio kits to hold 2 or 3 gauges? I'm not a fan of the a-pillar style or the 2012 LS center dash kit.

I I am thinking about trying this or getting the 05-10 Autometer tripple dash pod and modifying to fit +11.
