gas tank question

i goin to be building a external fuel pump setup for my 96 cobra. an my buddy has a 89 stang gas tank in his shop an i was wondering if it would work in my 96.i have lookeed online thay look the same but i dont know .anyone know

it should work with no problems. i think all tanks from 83 to 97 are pretty much the same. good luck with the sumped set up they look sick from the rear:rockon::rockon:
