Fuse box questions

Anyone know if the empty or "not used" fuse slots have power in the fuse box? And if the slot marked "convertible top switch" would have power since I have a coupe. I'm looking to tap into the box for an ipod adapter for the radio and I'm trying to find the best spot.

A meter as suggested above is your best bet. I used the convertible switch on a 98 coupe for power to a speed adjuster box. I would be surprised if the 03-04 is any different. It's easy enough to check if there is power to that switch, just remember it only has power when the key is ON.

Thanks. I only wanted to tap into a fuse line that only has power with the ignition on. This way the ipod controller will shut off with the car.I thought that someone may have already have done the research.

If it's not fused then it's highly unlikely that the source is powered (constant or switched).
