So went to the track last Saturday for the Sportsman points series.

Did my dial in run of 12.000... yes that is correct .000

Which is good because the fastest you can go is a 12.00. With the launch control set on mode 7 as I did with the dial in run. I line up against a guy who dials in at a 12.12. Great he will get out on me as he is running big and little's then I will run him down but we should be REAL close at the stripe.

Light goes green, got a great reaction time.... I'm reeling him in closer and closer... next thing you know I am 1.5 cars ahead of him well past the 1/8 and in my mind I was like "WTF" so I slam on my breaks to hopefully nudge him out by just a few inches.

At the stripe he takes the win as I break out :cuss:

I would like to believe if I hadn't slammed on my breaks and dropped 17 MPH off my usual MPH I would have posted a high 11.7x. Also take a look at the 1/8 MPH. usually I am consistent 95.xx MPH, this run I trapped 98 MPH :pepper:

So what did you do different between the 2 runs?
What tires do you run?

Michelin Pilot Super sports.

Dropped the air down to 29 PSI. Did a burn out for about 10 seconds. Then trusted in the Launch control in mode 7 at 3000 rpm.

60' still not great but the acceleration was smooth.
