We have an excess of rotor sets laying around in inventory and we figured we would offer up a special deal for SVTP members who are looking to reduce their unsprung weight and rotating mass on their vehicle. As you know this weight is much more important to reduce than static weight.

Let me say this right here because I know some of you Boss 302 guys like to take your car on a road course. These rotors ARE NOT FOR YOU!! We do however have HD road race rotors that we could offer you and if you're interested shoot me a PM. These particular rotors are intended for street and drag racing applications only.

Here's what we have, a four pc set of two piece floating rotor assemblies. These assemblies have hard anodized aluminum hats along with directionally vaned and slotted, clear zinc plated rotors.

Here is what the 14" (355mm) floating front rotor set looks like:

And the 11.8" (300mm) rear rotor set:

Here is what one of the lightweight front and rear rotor weighs:

This is what one OEM front and rear rotor weighs:

As you can see the lightweight rotors weigh 26.2# and the OEM rotors weigh in at a hefty 38.6#. That equates to a 12.4# weight savings for only one front and one rear rotor. Double that weight savings for all four rotors and you're looking at a total savings of unsprung weight and rotating mass of 24.8#. These rotors also look way better than the OEM rotors for those of you looking to bling up your brakes a bit.

The list price for these 2 pc lightweight floating front rotors is $995.00 for the pair and the rears are $895.00 for the pair. This totals $1,890.00 for the front and rear set and shipping charges would apply.

THE OFFER:

We are offering these exclusively to SVTP members if they pay for them with a check or money order for $1,495.00 with free shipping. Paying with a check saves us CC and Pay-Pal fees and we like to pass that on to our customers.

We only have one complete set in stock but I will hold this offer open until the end of September for any and all members that would like to take advantage of this offer. Delivery of additional sets would be 3-4 weeks.

If you don't have the means to pay for these with a check shoot me a PM and we can discuss a smaller discount for paying with a credit card.

I'd be glad to answer any questions anyone might have regarding the rotors.

(note, the attaching bobbins are now gold like the ones shown in the photo of the pair of floating rotors on the scale. The top photos of the rotor pairs sitting side by side are older photos lifted from our web site)

[RACERS] These are not the rotors you're looking for.

Perhaps you didn't read the whole post? I will summarize the important parts for you seeing you didn't comprehend what I said in the OP:

Let me say this right here because I know some of you Boss 302 guys like to take your car on a road course. These rotors ARE NOT FOR YOU!!

And if you did take your car on a road course we do have HD road race rotors for you if you are interested:

They just do not save as much unsprung weight and rotating mass as these lightweight drag race rotor sets do!

Let me know if you need anything else cleared up or explained for you Darren, I'd be glad to oblige. :D

I read it and saw that. But you didn't post any info about THOSE rotors. Take a joke dude. Geez. You're not gonna win over customers by being a condescending A.

HD road race rotors are NOT the rotors we are looking to move right now. We have plenty of customers buying them and they don't sit around on the shelf very long! Not too many people around here even know that we manufacture lightweight drag race rotors along with our HD road race rotors. That is why I put the post up. :read:

Take a joke dude?? Seriously?? :rollseyes There is nothing about this thread that is a joke. Drag racers that understand the importance of reducing rotating mass and unsprung weight know exactly what this thread is about. I'm not expecting you to comprehend it.

I see the confusion. When i wrote RACERS in my post I meant road/track racers (per your comment) not drag. My apologies. :)

Joke gone awry.

Cool?

I just wanted to add that I purchased a complete set of Bruce's two-piece RR rotors for my big fat GT500. Top notch hardware with first rate service to boot. As long as I continue to own Mustangs I will deal with FTBR for all my braking needs. Thanks again Bruce!
