I read and believe our 03 cobra's only have a front brembo 13inch rotor. The caliper on the front is a PBR twin piston and on the back is a general 11.65 inch vented disc and single piston caliper.

did anybody think they were buying a car with brembo brakes?

thanks for any info.

No- I got what was expected, a Brembo front disc, nothing more, nothing less.

Same here. There really is nothing wrong with the PBRs for street use they were stock on the ZR-1 and are very similar to the ones found on C-5s the only major difference is the piston diameter on the Corvette is slightly larger. This is the brand of caliper that Baer Racing uses.

I known what the Cobra's have for over 9 years now. Same brakes they had in 94. They just switched to Brembo for the front castings in 99.

I thought the same as you and only found out later that it is only the rotor. Oh well.

PBRs are really good brakes, especially in the current guise on the 03.

I have heard of at least one incident of a 00 R owner switching to PBRs from Brembos, for better brake feel.
