I have a 99 Cobra with a completely stock fuel system. I suppose that's a rarity around here but I have a problem with it. The fuel pump will not run and I have no fuel pressure. I do not think it is a bad pump since the car has extremely low miles. But it could be related to the fact that it sits in the garage most of the time. I suspect it may be a fuel pressure regulator or switch. Give me some ideas on what to look for. Thanks.

The first thing to do is check the fuses and relays. Make sure there's power getting to the fuel pump. These cars don't have a regulator. There is a switch on the fuel rail, but usually the car just runs bad when that switch goes out.

so when you go key on, nothing happens at all? No noise from the pump?

If so, id be looking at a fuse or a relay.

Even with a dodgy fpdm, the car should still run, albeit very poorly.

Same goes for the fuel pressure sensor.
