fuel pressure gauge

Hi everyone, new member here. I've gotta ?. The needle in my
fuel pressure gauge constantly fluctuates or vibrates in idle or
when under a load, is this normal ? It doesn't spike or anything
like that, it's just not rock steady.

I had that happen on my IROC I built a few years ago. I used a gauge that was liquid filled and it worked better. I think there is some kind of valve in the pump that is supposed to stop that fluctuation.

Really depends on the kind of gauge you are using. i have an autometer gauge mounted on the cowl and it moves (vibrates) a little at idle but not much.
