fuel pressure gauge question

is there suppose to be anything between the sender and the stainless steel hose, or does the sender connect directly to the hose. reason i asked was i saw an old post that the guy had a copper piece between the two and i was wondering if i needed that piece. any suggestions would help.

You should have a part that came with the Autometer kit that has pipe thread for the sender unit and an -an fitting for the braided hose. If you try to put pipe thread in the -an fitting you might run into a fuel leakage problem. As far as the copper piece I did not see that post. But if needed I can post pics of my install.
