Did you change the vehicle back to stock before selling it? Otherwise this still may be vin locked? Do you know for sure it is unlocked?

I did try a change back to stock settings, but I'm not 100% sure.

Can it be unlocked without having the car?

there is a fee from a SCT dealer for doing that.. I believe its around 150$.. there is a screnn where it should tell you if its locked or not..

I plugged it into my current cobra, I selected install tune, then it wanted me to select vehicle, I then unplugged.

I didn't want to effect my new cars tune, I have a seperate tuner that came with this car.

I went into the device info, aftermarket tune, so its locked.

and the car is three states away. So, I guess its not worth much now.

You have to return the vehicle to stock, then unlock it with LiveLoad3. When the software says "unlocked" then you are good to go.
