FS:Darton Big-bore/stroker motor complete

Hi Folks,

I'm selling the engine that is in my car. It has 13,000 miles on it and when turbocharged it made 755rwhp at only 16psi. It can be run NA and estimate over 375rwhp. You can easily throw a big-boy blower on this car and make sick power.

5.3L Darton MID sleeved explorer block (aluminum)

'03 Cobra heads with mild intake/exhaust port work
Timesert steel sparkplug inserts on all holes (9 threads)
Manley SS valves - hand lapped
Crower Stage2 cams, springs, titanium retainers
Cometic BB Darton gaskets
ARP2000 headstuds
(cams were precisely timed)

INDUCTION

I have over $20K invested in this engine. The shortblock alone costs $10K new. It is healthy and ready to drop in. It burns no oil.

Man, why would you sell that??

I'm building one identical to that but went with the Diamond pistons. Then dumping a twin Hellion 76mm kit on it. SHould be pretty dumb.

Keep it, you'll never get your money back on it. Might as well enjoy it while we can still own these bad ars cars!

Okay. I will sell this engine complete for $10K + shipping. It does not include headers or intake manifold gaskets (reused them on old engine).

I will also consider parting it out in chunks. For example: fuel/induction setup, heads/cams....

HMM... How much for the heads complete with cams? Who did the port work? Which stage 2 crower cams are they? (turbo, supercharger, NA)

Heads: '03 Cobra with timeserts (steel, 9-thread sparkplug inserts)
Cams: Crower Stage2 blower cams
Springs/retainers: Crower springs w/titanium retainers
Valves: Manley SS valves (hand lapped)

I did the porting but limited my work to smoothing out intake and exhaust runners and port matching to intake. I didn't touch the combustion chambers and didn't significantly change the shape of the runners.

I will sell everything (heads/cams/springs/retainers/valves) for $2500 plus shipping.
