Backstory: Back when I was in college I owned a Cobra that I very much enjoyed, but it was a terribly impractical car for me to own at the time so I had to let it go. Since then I had toyed with the idea of getting another one several times but never pulled the trigger. Back in January 2014 I stumbled across a 1-owner, low mileage, very lightly modded Cobra and decided it was too good to pass up. Fast forward 10 months, circumstances change and my wife and I are now expecting our first child so my toy has to go. I held off listing it for sale hoping that we would be able to hang on to it, but it just doesn’t make sense for me to keep a car that never gets driven.
That being said, here are the details on the car followed by some pictures.
2004 Cobra
2 owner (including me)
32,795 miles (mileage won’t increase much. The car is not my daily driver)
Interior is in excellent condition. No rips, tears, stains, etc.
Exterior is in very good condition. Since I’ve owned the car I’ve replaced the headlights due to the stock headlights being very foggy (I still have them, but decided it would be easier to buy new ones than to try getting those back to new condition). I’ve also replaced the front bumper. When I got the car from the Ford dealer the clips on the side of the bumper (that hold the bracket that mounts to the fender) were broke on one side. I assume someone along the way probably caught the bumper on something as there was no fender damage. I have since put the new bumper on so the front end is completely clean. The rest of the car has no dents, dings, etc.
Mod list:
Wheels/Tires:
Varrstoen ES7 (18x9.5 F, 18x10.5 R)
Nitto Invo 275/35 F, 295/35 R
The wheels are silver but I plastidipped the center section black. The plastidip will easily peel off if wanted.
I have the stock 17" chrome wheels and the tires on the stock wheels appear to be practically new.
Engine:
K&N intake
Borla exhaust
Pullied
Diablo Predator tuner
Steeda oil separator
The car also has a short shifter, but I haven’t pulled the dash apart to see what brand.
Suspension:
H&R sport springs
Maximum Motorsports camber plates
Maximum Motorsports low profile IRS bolts
Alignment at Performance Chassis in Cary, NC
*When I installed the springs I did not put the isolators back in (rubber pieces on both ends of the springs). I still have the stock springs and iso’s though.
I also have the Hilton boost overlay and CobraBob shifter gaskets which I haven’t installed yet.
With the baby coming soon I’m looking to move the car in the near future. She’s priced to sell at $24,500 as it sits or $23,500 w/out the aftermarket wheels/tires. Feel free to PM or email me w/ any questions. I can also provide my cell for those that would prefer to talk over the phone.
