I have a True Blue 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra up for sale located in Oceanside, CA. I want to start off by saying that it needs a new fuel pump before it will run. The front right strut is also starting to go out. It is roughly $400 to fix the two problems. Other than the aforementioned problems, the car is in absolutely great mechanical shape. It has 141,XXX miles on the chassis and transmission but the motor was rebuilt at 129,XXX miles so it has roughly 12k on it. I have the receipts in a binder for everything that was replaced inside of the motor. Also during the motor rebuild a brand new clutch was put on. It was professionally rebuilt by a Ford mechanic in St. Louis, MO.
As far as the performance modifications go, the list is as follows:
-SLP Loudmouth 1 catback exhaust
-MAC Pro-chamber O/R mid-pipe
-JLT Ram Air Intake
-Performance tuned by Bama Performance from AmericanMuscle.com
-Exedy Mach 400 Stage 2 clutch
Here are a few non-performance modifications done:
-Stainless Steel COBRA bumper inserts
-New headlights installed roughly 9 months ago so there is no fading on the plastic
-8 inch shorty antenna
-Steeda Tri-ax short throw shifter
-Ford Racing 5-speed shifter knob
The current exhaust setup will not pass smog in the state of California but I can have all of the stock exhaust components sent out here to make the car become legal.
There are a few minor scratches and dings on the body of the vehicle but that is to be expected with a car that is 13 years old and has been a daily driver its entire life. On the interior there are a few problems, there is a burn mark on the driver seat where someone threw a cigarette through my window when I left it cracked at the store.
I have over $8,000 invested into this vehicle and I must get at least what I owe, so please no low ball offers but I am willing to negotiate for someone who will be a good owner. I am willing to fix the fuel pump and strut before I sell it but that will also raise the price some. I have always taken care of this car for as long as I have owned it and it has never let me down. This car has been my pride and joy since I purchased it 3 years ago but it is time to move on to a Terminator. It has a clean title, has never seen snow thus has no rust on it. I have the title in hand so who ever buys the car will have the title right away.
