FRPP Strut Tower Brace Installation?

I recently bought an NOS FRPP M-20201-MSVTC strut tower brace (still in shipping) for my 2013 GT500 Vert. I've heard conflicting stories regarding how it'll fit. I do have the FRPP resonator eliminator -all else is stock. Would you say this is a fairly "straight forward" install - or is there anything that I should double check? Thanks in advance.

On my coupe, with the resonator delete, the brace fits ok.
But when you close the hood it does hit the underside and holds it from closing completely.I removed it and now use the 07-09 single bar style brace.

That's not good...BTW- I just received it today. Look's like a nice design...but if it hits the underside of the hood, I most likely wont use it.

I didn't try to remove the hood insulation.
I'm pretty sure I've heard that it will clear with it removed though.

I did the install this past Saturday... & I removed it. It does hit the underside of the hood. Bummer, as I really wanted to use a genuine Ford part that looks really nice as well. I'm not sure if I'm willing to remove the hood insulation...opinions? So it sounds like the 07 - -09 GT500 bar will fit? Is that the best choice for a genuine Ford part?
